Jacci Gresham is recognized as the first black female tattoo artist and the roots for all black artists in tattooing. We visited New Orleans at her shop "Aart Accent" in 2011 to shoot this interview.
Ms. Jacci was a very warm and welcoming woman, full of charisma and flair as evidenced by her style. You can tell she is a no nonsense type, but will love you to pieces if you're worthy of such a thing.
Her contributions are enormous, especially considering she staked a claim in a racially divided, male driven industry. We were very lucky she made herself available for this interview and making it a very special piece.
