This documentary defined an entire culture and stands as a marker in history for the growth of black tattoo artists. 3 years ago, Miya Bailey and Artemus Jenkins came together to create a film that details the history and lives of the top black tattoo artists.
This 2nd leg of the project, "Unscene" allows everyone to see the footage that really only 2 people have ever seen, guess who that might be. There are hours of clips and more than a few documentaries within all of this footage. With so much footage, that means there is a lot more for everyone to learn about this culture. Color Outside the Lines scratches the surface and now with the ability to see the raw footage and uncut interviews, we can all learn more about these great artists.
From August 21st-November 13th we will be releasing a series of weekly clips from the archives of Color Outside the Lines. Each week a minimum of 3 uncut interviews will be released on each artist that was a part of the film, in addition to outtakes, featurettes that didn't make the full film and an extremely candid look into the world of these talented and diverse human beings.
