Prior to our interview with Zulu, all we had heard was that Zulu was a bit of a jerk, leaving us with a bit of apprehension on how the interview would go. Those judgements couldn't have been further from the truth as he and his wife Khani Zulu were very welcoming and really made sure we had all we needed.

Zulu is the first person you see and the first voice you hear, setting the tone perfectly for what the documentary was saying when we put it out. We couldn't have asked for a better set of pipes to lead things off, Morgan Freeman better watch out if Zulu seriously starts considering voiceover work!

One of his most important firsts, is being the first black man to appear on the cover of International Tattoo Magazine; functioning as a symbol of what is possible for black artists despite the barriers in place at the time.
