This is one of those interviews that really lets you know about a particular time and place in a person's life. If you ever get a chance, ask Imani about how many things changed not even since then to now, but in the 3 years alone it took us to finish the film.

Miya always spoke highly of how good DC is to him from a business standpoint and it was no different when we shot the film. Imani was one of our first interviews we traveled for. We had been stagnant on the idea to do the film for almost a year because we couldn't raise money. So I just suggested Miya take me with him on tour and that's how we'll get this done. I'd say that strategy worked out well.

We really appreciated Imani and Chris (who you will also see) for being as candid as they were. The interview is very familial and I think alot of people, female artists included will enjoy it.
